What do Elon Musk, Oprah Winfrey, The Movember Foundation, Nelson Mandela, TOMS, Pablo Picasso, Apple and Mother Teresa have in common?
A compelling purpose.
Turns out, having a clear purpose gets you out of bed on a freezing Monday morning, while being unclear as to why you do what you do might make you consider calling in sick – or even consider a career change.
In fact, according to Professor Steve Taylor, a senior psychology lecturer at Leeds Beckett University, not having a sense of purpose makes us more vulnerable to boredom, anxiety and depression.
Psychological Science also found that having a sense of purpose in life, regardless of how old you are when you find it, lowers the risk of mortality above and beyond other factors that are known to predict longevity.
Problem is, no one has built an App that can help you find your purpose…
So how are you meant to know where to start if you have no idea what your purpose is? And is having a sense of purpose reserved to only a lucky few? Or can everyone benefit from living their purpose?
Join leadership coach, podcast host and TEDx speaker Mark Leruste, for an experiential introductory talk on the power of finding and unleashing your purpose.
