How to raise your profile

  • Dent Global London (map)

When people Google you, they want to see that you are known, liked, trusted and credible, meaning your brand and reputation is pivotal to your success.

Problem is, there are 60 million photos uploaded to Instagram every day, 340 million tweets and 55 million Facebook updates are posted daily, 467 million people are on LinkedIn and 60 hours of video are uploaded every minute on YouTube.

In short, it's easy to say that it's become a pretty crowded digital market place.

Whether you like it or not, we live in a world where your online reputation can be your strongest asset or biggest liability. According to Edelman Research, 65% of internet users see online search as the most trusted source of information about people and companies. Indeed, even when consumers have a referral, they start their buying process online.

That’s why a terrific online presence lends credibility and gets customers excited, while a bad or irrelevant online presence turns customers away.

So how can you stand out from the crowd and establish yourself as a key person of influence in the eyes of others in your industry? The answer is simple: By raising your profile and building a strong personal brand.

But where to get started? What channels should you focus on? How do you figure out who your target audience is? And how do you connect with mentors and influencers who can help you grow?

In the world of entrepreneurship and business, you are who Google says you are. Being good at what you do is no longer enough. You also need to stand out and be recognised.

YOU'LL LEARN:

  • How to create a personal brand vision and mission statement
